Want advice directly from a medical student? Our mentorship program pairs pre-med undergraduates with current UMN med students who can share tips on coursework, MCAT prep, applications, and life in medical school. This is a great way to get personalized guidance and build connections early.

Run for Research (5K Walk/Run)
Take part in a 5K walk/run around campus to support the Masonic Cancer Center. This event raises awareness and funding for cancer research, while giving you a chance to meet other students and give back to an important cause. Participation is free for UMN students and staff!

LLS Light the Night Volunteer Opportunity
Join this inspiring evening event hosted by the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Light the Night celebrates cancer survivors, honors those we’ve lost, and raises awareness for blood cancer research. Volunteers help with event logistics while being part of a powerful community gathering. Carpooling and metro options are available.

Phillips Neighborhood Clinic (PNC)
PNC is a student-run, free clinic in South Minneapolis open Monday & Thursday evenings from 6–9 PM. Students from multiple healthcare fields work together to provide care with professional oversight. This is an amazing opportunity to get real clinical experience, serve underserved populations, and learn about interprofessional teamwork.
